West Cape Three Points Block

Appraisal and Delineation

Kosmos identified the West Cape Three Points Block offshore Ghana as a premier opportunity to prove its initial exploration concept, focused on the Late Cretaceous opportunity set. As operator of the West Cape Three Points Block, Kosmos executed a 3D seismic survey over a portion of the block in 2005 and unlocked the Tano Basin petroleum system with the world-class Jubilee oil field discovery in 2007. The success at Jubilee de-risked additional opportunities on the block, and Kosmos and partners have discovered a number of additional oil and gas-condensate discoveries on West Cape Three Points, including Mahogany, Teak, and Akasa (MTA).
